Mr. Timothy Burgess Sr.

Mr. Timothy Burgess Sr. was born to GC Burgess and Essie Burgess on December 12, 1971, in Forrest City, Arkansas. He professed his love for community and Christ at an early age. He was baptized and spent years attending Summerfield M.B. Church. For most of his youth and adolescent life, he ran the streets of Turner Circle, cultivating numerous relationships that developed into lifelong friendships. Timmy was dedicated to his studies. He strived to stay abreast of the latest technology, current world affairs, and all things sports, especially when it came to the Forrest City Mustangs and Arkansas Razorbacks. He earned many educational awards and certifications. He was most proud of being requested to participate in the Renewable Energy program due to his academic success and outstanding GPA. Finally, he earned his bachelor's degree in Renewable Energy at Arkansas State University. Tayo could not be outworked. He began providing for his loved ones at an early age and continued to do so until the very end. He began by picking cotton and peaches with his uncle during the summertime. He would later gain employment as part of the Forrest City summer youth program to help provide for his siblings. As an adult, he worked at HO-HO Restaurant, National Carpet One, Boars Head as a Sanitation Supervisor, Break Bush Manufacturing as a Supervisor, and Salad and Go as a Supervisor. Upon his transition, he was employed at Kraft-Hines Manufacturing as the Maintenance Supervisor and Buzz Ball Manufacturing as a Sanitation Supervisor. Disco was the life of the party; he never met a stranger, and anytime he entered a room, his spirit and presence were immediately recognized and felt. No one had fancier footwork or could bust a move on cue like him. The year 2000 marked the beginning of Timmy's journey with his soulmate, Shundrica Anthony, and on May 17, 2012, they were united in holy matrimony at Summerfield M.B. Church. He is preceded in death by his sister, Pamela Denise Daniel, and grandparents Edna Mae Haggins, Roxie Hines, E.J. Goodman, and John Wesley Burgess. Timmy leaves to cherish many memories to his wife—Shundrica Anthony Burgess of Mesquite, Texas; children—Jasmine Combs of Omaha, Nebraska, Shaquille White (LaCrecia) of Mesquite, Texas, Kerry White of Forrest City, Arkansas, Shalom Comb of Omaha, Nebraska, Timothy Burgess, Jr., Stylus Burgess, Ja’Lairan Burgess, Na’Kehl Burgess, Na’Keiah Burgess, Julium Burgess, and Makayla Burgess all of Mesquite, Texas; grandchildren—Caitlyn Stegall of Wynne, Arkansas, and Jedediah Combs of Omaha, Nebraska. He also leaves his mother—Essie Burgess of Forrest City, Arkansas; father—GC (Flossy) Burgess of Madison, Arkansas; bonus mom—Lula Ann Jones of Forrest City, Arkansas; mother in-law—Shirley Anthony of Forrest City, Arkansas; siblings—Tony Goodman, Sr. (Stepanie) of Forrest City, Arkansas, Gary Burgess (Natasha) and Lamon Burgess, Sr. (Mina) both of San Antonio, Texas, Ronna Burgess of Dallas, Texas, LaShunda Burgess of San Antonio, Texas, Carlos Fryer (Sandra) and Yoshika Burgess both of Forrest City, Arkansas; and a host of other relatives and friends.
