Mrs. Susie Violet White

Susie Violet White was born on April 14, 1929, to the late Dennis Patterson and Tempie Williamson Patterson. From the very beginning, her life was a testament to faith, perseverance, and unconditional love. She grew to become a woman whose presence filled every room with warmth, wisdom, and quiet strength, leaving an indelible mark on all who were blessed to know her. At an early age, Susie accepted Christ as her personal Savior and committed her life to serving the Lord. She was a devoted Christian who loved God deeply and lived her faith daily through her words, actions, and unwavering trust in Him. She was a faithful and active member of Union Grove Baptist Church, where she worshiped wholeheartedly and found great joy in fellowship, prayer, and service. Her life reflected the scripture, “Well done, thou good and faithful servant.” Susie was a devoted wife and a loving mother figure whose heart extended far beyond traditional boundaries. She embraced her role as a mother to her stepchildren, a guiding light to her godchildren, and a cherished aunt to her family. Affectionately known as “The Boss,” Susie was respected and adored for her firm love, wisdom, and caring spirit. She had a way of making everyone feel seen, valued, and loved, and she poured herself into the lives of those around her without hesitation. Her home was a place of comfort, laughter, and guidance. She believed strongly in family, faith, and doing what was right, and she instilled those values in everyone she encountered. Whether offering advice, a prayer, or a gentle word of encouragement, Susie always gave from her heart. Susie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Elbert White, Sr.; her parents, Dennis Patterson and Tempie Williamson Patterson; her brothers, Olivie Patterson and Robert Patterson; and her sisters, Izella Mae Petty, Mary Patterson, and Selma Patterson. Though she mourned their passing, she remained steadfast in her faith, trusting God’s promises and rejoicing in the hope of eternal life. She leaves behind cherished memories to be treasured by her only sister, Julius Mae Walker Selvy of Parkin, Arkansas; stepchildren, godchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends who loved her dearly. Her legacy of faith, love, and strength will continue to live on through the many lives she touched. Susie Violet White lived a life well lived, anchored in faith and crowned with love. While her physical presence will be deeply missed, her spirit, wisdom, and unwavering devotion to God will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her. She has fought a good fight, finished her course, and kept the faith, and now she rests peacefully in the arms of her Savior.
