Miss Jasmin J. Spencer

Jasmin Jeanean Spencer was born on September 15, 1988, in Pasadena, California, to Martha Jean Spencer and Anthony Atkins. At an early age, she accepted Christ and was baptized at Willis Temple Church of God in Christ under the leadership of Superintendent J.D. Alexander. Jasmin was educated in the Forrest City School District and proudly graduated with the distinguished Class of 2006, a class that held her in deep affection and high regard. Her warmth, energy, and radiant personality made her a beloved friend and classmate. Throughout her professional journey, Jasmin was employed by various organizations, most recently serving as a supervisor in the Dietician Department at Forrest City Medical Center. She had a strong work ethic and a passion for cleanliness, which led her to establish her own cleaning service. In addition to her career, she had a talent for hairstyling and often offered her services to family and friends. Jasmin was also known for her incredible cooking—her kitchen was always open, and no one ever left her home hungry. Jasmin was a vibrant spirit who deeply loved her family and friends. She never met a stranger and had a unique ability to make everyone feel welcome and valued. Her laughter, kindness, and generous heart will be deeply missed. She was preceded in death by her devoted stepfather, Charles Banks, Jr.; her grandparents, Lena Mae Spencer, Geraldine Banks, and Charles Banks, Sr.; and several beloved aunts and uncles: Cleora Spencer, Sam Spencer, Otis Lee Spencer, Angela Banks, Carolyn Banks, Frederick Banks, and Sheila Marie Banks. Jasmin leaves to cherish her memory two precious daughters, Nyerra Jala Spencer and Aubrey Johnson; her loving mother, Martha Jean Spencer; three brothers, Charles “Chuck” Banks III, Dominique Spencer, and Cordedro Banks; sisters, Daja Atkins, Latora Banks, and Anika Banks; and a host of aunts and uncles: Betty Jean Sanders, Larkey Mae Spencer, Clemmie (Howard) Goodman, Geraldine (Columbus) Rucker, Annie Martha Spencer, Stella Mae Spencer, Trisha Ann Spencer, Della Lynn Spencer, Nancy Atkins, Darry Banks (Sandra), and Curtis Banks. She is also survived by a large circle of cousins, cherished classmates, extended relatives, and many dear friends. Jasmin’s legacy is one of love, service, and joy—a life that touched many and will never be forgotten.
