Mrs. Catherine "Kathy" D. Davis Hall

Catherine "Kathy” Druceilla Davis-Hall, was born May 1, 1960, in Dreux, France, born into a military family, to the late Catherine Flintroyal- Morgan and Robert “Bob” Morgan, of Forrest City, Arkansas. Kathy met her late husband Herman Davis early in her life where she had two children: Herman Davis and Monique Davis. The story doesn’t end, it’s a new beginning, following Kathy’s late husband, years later, Kathy re-married her Life Partner Speller “Luke” Hall on Valentines Day in 1993 (do not calculate the years), then gaining a bonus child: Speller “Boo” Hall. Kathy was blessed to have a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, grandchildren, and great grandchildren whom she loved dearly. After settling into her new beginnings, in Arlington, VA, Kathy and Luke decided to move to District Heights, Maryland. Kathy was a vibrant, free-spirited woman, loving all that life had to offer. She especially enjoyed fostering her connection to God. Kathy was energetic, she loved playing softball, dancing (Zumba) and being with friends, family, and Snickers (dog). Kathy had a song that she loved to sing every time she was able to be with all of her family “We are Family, Get up, Everybody and Sing.” Wherever Kathy went she was a vibrant soul. Kathy had a passion for Christ. She joined Maple Springs Baptist Church in 1994 where she placed herself in ministry as an Usher, and taught Sunday School, along with serving at other events at the church. Maple Springs Baptist Church was her place of comfort and fellowship. Catherine “Kathy” Davis-Hall’s life was full, having a successful work life balance. Kathy worked for the Department of Justice for over three decades, then settled in at Metropolitan Police Department later retiring to settle down and continue enjoying her life. She worked at numerous of nonprofit organizations, and cared deeply for the youth offering those she knew a host of job opportunities. Kathy leaves behind memories, friends, church members and her beloved family. Kathy leaves behind (Husband) Speller Luke Hall. (Children) Herman Davis and Monique Charise Davis, (Stepson) Speller Boo Hall, (Sisters) Roberta King, Beverly Morgan, (Sister-in-Law) Linda Faye Morgan, (Brothers) Robert Morgan, Bruce Morgan, (Grandchildren) Alexis, Ravon Bridges, Anastasia, Rasheed Turner, Junior Herman, Jania Davis- Tasker, Great-grandchildren, Nieces, Nephews, and a host of family members which whom she cherished deeply. Catherine “Kathy” Davis- Hall departed this life on December 7, 2023, with her husband by her side. Kathy will be buried next to her mother Catherine Flintroyal Morgan.
