Alexander and Luella Eckford Dulaney on September 26, 1930. Samuel accepted Christ at an early age at Prosperity Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. A. Crawford. He graduated from Lincoln High School. He served in the United States Army and was honorably discharged on November 30, 1956. He also received a Two-Year Trade School Certificate in Auto Mechanics in 1958 from Pine Bluff, Arkansas. He was married to the late Ara Banks and out of this union a total of seven children were born. Four children were born in Forrest City, AR. They later moved to Gary Indiana where the other three children were born. Samuel was employed by Westville Correctional Facility for many years until he retired as a correctional officer. He also later had a special friend the late Archie McMillan and one child was born. Samuel enjoyed hunting, fishing, working on cars, watching sports games, and having a good time. After retirement he moved back to Forrest City, Arkansas, and rejoined the Prosperity Missionary Baptist Church. When his health began to decline in 2018, he moved in with his daughter Renita in Memphis, TN. He was preceded in death by two sons: Samuel Dulaney Jr. and Melvin Dulaney, one daughter: Patricia Dulaney, two granddaughters: Shavon Dulaney and Felicity Dulaney, His parents, as well as one brother: Edward Dulaney, six sisters: an Infant sister, Lula Bell Dulaney, Veola Ross, Bessie Johnson, Iola Williams, and Ethel James. He leaves to cherish his memories one son Alexander Dulaney of Forrest City, AR., four daughters: Anita (Lee) Taggart Jr. of Jonesboro, AR., Renita Dulaney of Memphis, TN., Felicia Dulaney of Memphis, TN., and Dierdre (Shawn) Strode of Akron, OH. A daughter in law: Carolyn Dulaney of Little Rock, AR. Other children Carla Keys and John McMillan, Jr. Three sisters: Claudine Dulaney, Myrtle White, and Alma Dulaney all of Forrest City, AR. Nine grandsons: LeShun (Generra) Taggart, Philandus Harris, Orlando Dulaney, Alexander (Candace) Dulaney Jr., Andre (Precious) Dulaney, Daunte Smith, Melvin Dulaney Jr., Sterling (Jabre)Powell, and Excell Bradley IV. Nine granddaughters: Adriene Dulaney, Allison Dulaney, Ida Dulaney, Ashley Dulaney, Brittany Harris, Ifunanya (Bibi) Godwin, Katara Dulaney, Carmalita Bradley, and Brianna Bradley. Thirty great grands and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He lived a long wonderful and bless life. "Love never ends…” 1 Corinthians 13:8
