Paralee Griffin confessed a hope in Christ under the leadership of Reverend Sherman Baker, Sr. at First Baptist Church on Grant Street. She loved God and her church. Her smiling face and soft voice were so reflective of the joy she felt when she entered the sanctuary with those who truly loved her. She never passed an opportunity to serve the church in any capacity. It brought her great joy singing in the choir and keeping the facility clean. She graduated from Mildred Jackson High School in Hughes, Arkansas. She was known for her humble loving spirit to the old and young, always wanting to lend a helping hand to someone. She thought of her family and friends as a blessing. In the early morning hour of January 16, 2022, God softly whispered to His child, "Well done my good and faithful servant, enter into the joy of your Lord." God received the spirit of Parlee Griffin as she entered into the complete rest of our Savior in Jonesboro, Arkansas. She is preceded in death by her parents— Solomon Crawford and Josephine Hutchinson Crawford; husband— Lee Roy Griffin; a son—Sammy Griffin; and daughter— Nancy Ann Griffin Williams and Betty Griffin Green; brothers— Solomon Crawford, Jr., Donnell Crawford, William Crawford, and Melvin Crawford; sisters— Sadie Mae Crawford, Maggie Crawford, Lillie Belle Crawford Burse, Eloise Crawford Hall, Lucy Mae Crawford, Janet Crawford, Viola Crawford Holmes, and Martha Ann Crawford.
