Kenyatae Jermond Chism, Sr, affectionately known as “Tae”, was born on June 1, 1985 to Pamela Chism McFadden and Francis Jerome Leak. He departed his life on Saturday, December 25, 2021 at the Forrest City Medical Center. “Tae” enjoyed attending church at the United Christian Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr. Anthony D. Latham. “Tae” was a proud member of the graduating class of 2004 at Forrest City High School. He had the opportunity to play football with the Mustangs, where he dominated every position on the field. After finishing high school, “Tae” went into the workforce. He worked for Boar’s Head, APAC Construction, and APEX of Jonesboro, Arkansas. “Tae” was always the life of any party, from his standup attitude, his contagious laughter, and stylish threads. He had a smile so big that it would light up any room. “Tae” has always been a ladies’ man. He enjoyed spending quality time with his family and friends. His favorite hobbies were taking pictures, playing with his children, nieces and nephews, and watching his favorite NFL football team the Dallas Cowboys on television! “Tae” is preceded in death by his grandmother—Lorene Henderson Chism; and grand-fathers—Frederick Leak, Sr. and Dan Ervin, Sr. “Tae” leaves to cherish his memories, his parents—Pamela Chism McFadden (Ronald) of Forrest City, Arkansas and Francis Gerome Leak (Frieda) of McDonough, GA, as well as another father-figure—John Jones, Sr. of Forrest City, AR; grandparents—Clyde Chism (Brenda) of Forrest City, AR and Mary Leak and Roberta McFadden both of Caldwell, AR.; two sons—Kenyatae Jermond Chism, Jr. of Forrest City, AR, and Ethan Dixon of Jacksonville, AR; three daughters—Kentashia Chism and Kajavia Chism both of Forrest City, AR and O’Riyah Chism of Jonesboro, AR; six brothers—Johnnie Jones of Little Rock, AR, John Jones, Jr., of Forrest City, AR, Marquis Leak (Adriennne) of Powder Springs, GA, and Tochi Leak of Atlanta, AR, Ronald Scott and Randell Scott both of Jonesboro, AR; five sisters—Ikeshia Chism of Manama, Bahrain (Middle East), Diamond McFadden of Forrest City, AR, Rhonda Scott of Mobile, AL, Felicia Scott of Jonesboro, AR, and Tyeshia McKinney of Little Rock, AR; two nieces—Ja’Niya Jones and Oakleigh Haley of Forrest City, AR; seven nephews—Dakwon Scott, Preston Barton, Paris Barton, John Jones, III, Torey Dunn, Jr., Jacario Jones, and Johan Jones all of Forrest City, AR; seven uncles—Clyde Chism, Jr., Dewayne Chism, Brian Chism and Christopher Chism all of Forrest City, AR, James Leak of Blackfish, AR, Rosha Leak of Caldwell, AR, and Dan Ervin, Jr. of Jonesboro, AR; seven aunts—Sharon Hines, Kehila Gardner (Gary) and Yolanda Morgan (Tony) all of Forrest City, AR, Cynthia Rogers and Carolyn Leak both of Caldwell, AR, Shonta Butts (Johnny) of Brunswick, GA, and Tammy Ervin of Jonesboro, AR; a special cousin whom he loved as his own sister—Kemeshia Chism of Forrest City, AR; and a host of other relatives and friends.
