Mr. Billups was taken in by Mr. Claude Lee Billups of Marianna Arkansas. He later gained W.L. Doyle as a stepdad when Doyle married Floyd's mom Mary. Floyd respected these men as his fathers. He graduated from his earthly home on Thursday, November 24, 2022. He accepted Christ at an early age and on October 31, 1999, Pastors Floyd and Katherine Billups opened the doors to New Hope for Today Christian Center In Forrest City, Arkansas where he remained the Pastor and Member until his death. He is preceded in death by his loving wife Katherine Billups, Mother Mary Doyle, Fathers Joe Bruce Collie, Claude Lee Billups, And W.L. Doyle. Sisters Ruby Lee Pruitt, and Gloria Dean Pearson. Nephew Troy Lee Billups. Daughter Anita Billups-Hinds. Son Boy Boy Billups, Grandsons Stephon Billups, and Tristian Ferguson, Granddaughters Hailey Jones, and Brielle Broyles, Three son-in-laws David Jones, Jack Butler, and Santonnieyeo Wallace. He leaves to cherish his precious memories; A very special Brother-in-Love Yancy Cross, 6 Daughters Rosetta Austin; (Jacksonville AR,) Janice Wallace; (Forrest City AR,) Quible Pinell Butler; (Marianna AR) Luthesia Golatt; (Haynes AR,) Crystal Branscomb; (Little Rock AR,) and Jessica Billups (Haynes AR,). 3 Sons Floyd L. Billups Jr. (Forrest City AR,) Terrance Billups (Tucker AR,) and Floydie N. Billups ( Haynes AR,). Mr. Billups Had a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and bonus children. Throughout his life, he touched many! Floyd L. Billups Sr. Dedicated his life to ministering to others. He spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ in many places and was the pastor of New Hope for Today Christian Center In Forrest City Arkansas for 23 years. There he and his wife Katherine started The Need to Feed the Seed, which was a feeding program and food pantry for the community. He was on the search and Rescue crew of Lee county, Security guard at Food Giant of Marianna, Arkansas, An Arkansas Constable, and A Sergent / Patrolman for the Marianna, Arkansas, HollyGrove, Arkansas, and Hughes Arkansas Police Department. He also was a Foster parent, but Dispisted the word foster, He helped Parent many children. Through it all he still found time to do what he loved. He Drove 18" wheeler trucks and delivered merchandise around the world. Floyd Billups was the jack of all trades and served his community in many ways.
