She confessed and accepted Jesus Christ at an early age and remained faithful until her health failed. She was a fighter during the time of her illness and never lost her praise. Bernice had a passion for caring and helping others during her work profession for many years as a home duty nurse aide. She enjoyed visiting and spending time with her family and friends near and far. Her love and care were unconditional. She was a social butterfly who enjoyed laughter and socializing with everyone. Bernice peacefully transitioned from her earthly home to her heavenly home on Thursday, August 13, 2020 at her home. She lived a great life and will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Bernice was preceded in death by her parents, Roosevelt and Eula Hill; a brother, Willie “Sonny Man” Hill; two sisters, Rosie L. (Johnny) Patterson and Rosetta Hill, and nieces Debra A. Ford (Glenn) and Kalani L. Patterson. She leaves to cherish her memories, her husband of 53 years, John Henry; stepdaughters, Karen Henry of Texas, and Dawn and Lorraine Henry of California; sisters-in-law, Brynda Eskridge and Rosemary Hill of Lynn, Mass.; a brother-in-law, Ottie Eskridge of CA; Linda (Pat) Ferragamo, Medford of Massachusetts, Eula Hill of Lynn, Mass., Lisa (Edsel) Montgomery and Sharon (Marvin) Dale, all Forrest City and Jeannette Patterson of Madison; nephews, Willie (Beth) Hill of St. Paul, MN, Roosevelt Hill, Robert Hill, Tony (Ann) Hill and Jeffery Hill, all of Lynn, Mass., Kenny (Laurie) Hill of Texas, Johnny Patterson, Florissant, Mo., and Silvester Patterson of Detroit, Mich. She also leaves to cherish a host of cousins, great nieces and nephews who cherished and loved her dearly.
