Alonzo was born December 30, 1944, in Gilmore, AR to the late Charlie Bonner, Sr & Charlitha (Frazier) Bonner and he was the 4th eldest of ten siblings. He grew up in Parkin, AR where he attended Central High School and then moved to Madison, AR in search of work. He began working at Forrest City Grocery Company as a young man and later as a cross-country truck driver for many years until he returned back to work at Forrest City Grocery Co. until his retirement in 2011. He was affectionately known as “Lonzo”, “Lonnie” or “Bonner” to almost everyone that knew him, he was a very hard worker, a loyal friend and he greatly loved his family. He enjoyed fishing, watching football and he could not resist a good “shoot’em up” (western). He would spend hours under the shade tree having long talks with his many friends. Lonzo was known for creating unusual nicknames for those people that he was fond of, if you had a nickname that only he called you then you were special to him. He leaves to cherish his memory a son: Lee A. Bonner, Sr. of Earle, AR; a daughter: La Tonga R. Bonner (companion Terrance) of York, PA; (4) siblings: Robert L. Bonner, Pearley M. Veasley, and Betty L. Bonner all of Wynne, AR and Aubrey Bonner of Little Rock, AR; (1) aunt: Jimmie Ruth Rathers of Memphis, TN, (4) grandchildren: LaTonya Beasley of Little Rock, AR, Lee Bonner, Jr. (companion Leslie), of Earle, AR, Na Koiyah C. Smith of Casa Grande, AZ & Tempest Bonner of Wynne, AR, (10) great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Ruthie L. Bonner (in infancy), Ruby Ward, Van Barner, Clarence W. Bonner & Charlie Bonner, Jr.
