Mr. Willie C. Berry III

Mr. Willie Clarence Berry, III, 39, of Forrest City, Arkansas, entered eternal rest on April 1, 2026. Willie was born on June 20, 1986, in Forrest City, Arkansas, to Willie Berry, Jr. and Bonita Ford. At an early age, he gave his life to the Lord and was raised in Day Temple Church of God in Christ under the leadership of Bishop J.H. Jennings and Pastor Curtis L. Rolfe. He later united with Prosperity Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr. Alvin Taggart, where he continued his spiritual journey. Willie was a proud graduate of Forrest City High School, Class of 2005, where he played football for the Mustangs. He later attended Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Willie was a hardworking man who was employed with Harvest Foods and Boar’s Head Provisions, where he worked faithfully and took pride in providing for his family. Willie loved life and found joy in fishing, good food, especially barbecue, and spending time outdoors. He was known for being a people person who loved to laugh, have fun, and bring others together. He had a deep love for church music and often served as a DJ for family and friends. He also enjoyed playing the drums and was always willing to help others, even if it meant simply giving someone a ride when they needed it. Above all, Willie was a devoted family man who cherished every moment with his loved ones. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Willie Berry, Sr., his aunt, Rita Braddock, his son, Davanta Allen, and his uncles, Danny Ford and Kenneth Ford. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Monique LaPree Allen Berry; his parents, Bonita Ford and John Calvin; his son, Da’Prince Jones; his brothers, Cedric Berry (Danielle) and Dedrick Berry (Shayla); his grandmother, Texanna Berry; his aunts, Jeanette Taggart (Dr. Alvin Taggart), Brenda Scott (David), Linda Harnsberry, Wendy Ford, and Rita Berry; his uncle, Ronny Ford (Linnie); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, classmates, and friends, along with the Berry, Ford, Atwater, and Taggart families. Willie will be remembered for his kind heart, his joyful spirit, and the love he shared with everyone he encountered. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
