Mr. Raymond Anderson, Jr.

Raymond Anderson, Jr., affectionately referred to as "RJ" or "G2," was born on the 27th of May, 2000, in Helena-West Helena, Arkansas, to his parents, Raymond Anderson, Sr., and Felicia Franklin. He departed this earthly life on the 1st of May, 2025, in Memphis, Tennessee, at Regional One Health.. RJ accepted Christ and was baptized at an early age at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Amos Newell. Later, he joined King Solomon Missionary Baptist Church, where he was spiritually leadership of Pastor Johnathan Mitchell. Raymond received his education in the Helena-West Helena School District, where he was actively involved in sports, playing basketball and competing in track events. His academic journey with the Central High School Class of 2019 was unforgettable. To have had the privilege of knowing Raymond Anderson was to encounter an extraordinary connection; his lasting legacy and the profound influence he imparted upon all whom he met will be forever treasured. May his life serve as a lasting tribute to the benevolence of God and His steadfast love for each of us. He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Anderson, Sr.; his maternal grandfather, Johnny Franklin, Sr.; paternal grandparents, Isaac and Sadie Anderson; uncles, Verdell and Gary Anderson; and cousin, Bruce J. Hamilton, Jr. He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Felicia Franklin of Helena- West Helena, AR, (James); grandmother, Vickey Franklin of Helena- West Helena, AR; siblings, Ashley Anderson, Alexis Anderson, A’shantee Johnson, James Davis all of Helena- West Helena, AR, K’vunnia Chambers of Memphis, TN, and Keyshawn Anderson of North Little Rock, AR; aunts, Michelle Franklin, Jennifer Franklin, Denise Stevenson, Monica Franklin, Jalessa Franklin all of Helena-West Helena, AR, Camille Franklin of Jonesboro, AR, Anita (Michael) Hoskins of Hernando, MS; uncles, Johnny Franklin, Jr. of Little Rock, AR, Jonathan Franklin of Helena- West Helena, AR, Michael (Kimberly) Speed of Washington DC, Sherman (Valorie) Anderson of Newport News, VA, including his cousin that was more like his brother Raymond Clark “Ygee” of Helena- West Helena, AR; cousins, Damien Hoskins of Newport News, VA, Candice Willams of Helena- West Helena, AR, and a host of other family members and friends.
