Mrs. Lula Mae White Williams

Mother Lula Mae Williams was born on September 28, 1942, in Marianna, Arkansas, to the late Joe Lee White and Pearlie Mae Colts White. On Tuesday, June 30, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family, God called His faithful servant from labor to eternal rest. At an early age, Lula accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at Triumph Church of God in Christ under the leadership of Elder Hill. There, she began her walk with the Lord, developing a steadfast faith that remained the foundation of her life. She later united with Day's Temple Church of God in Christ, where she continued to worship and faithfully serve the Lord. She believed in the power of prayer, trusted God's promises, and often encouraged others to remain faithful because she knew that "God is able." Mother Lula dedicated much of her life to serving others. She was employed by Sanyo Manufacturing, where she worked faithfully for many years. Following her employment there, she became a Foster Grandparent with the Forrest City School District, where she lovingly encouraged and inspired countless children. Her gentle spirit, patient heart, and warm smile made a lasting impact on the lives of many students. Her love for children extended far beyond the classroom. As a devoted foster parent, Mother Lula opened not only the doors of her home but also the doors of her heart, welcoming numerous children and providing them with love, stability, and encouragement when they needed it most. She truly exemplified Christ's love through her compassion and generosity. In her leisure time, Mother Lula enjoyed watching CNN and Judge Judy, shopping, and caring for her beloved cats and dogs. She found joy in the simple blessings of life and treasured every opportunity to spend time with those she loved. Mother Lula was preceded in death by her parents, Joe Lee White and Pearlie Mae Colts White, and eleven siblings, who welcomed her into eternal glory. She leaves to cherish her precious memory three sisters, Thelma McCoy and Ruth Williams, both of Forrest City, Arkansas, and Lillie Bell (Clarence) West of Terre Haute, Indiana; one brother, Leroy (Margaret) White, Sr. of Dallas, Texas; bestfriend, Irene Moore of Widener, Arkansas; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, church family, foster children, friends, and all whose lives were enriched by her love and kindness. Although Mother Lula's earthly journey has ended, her legacy of unwavering faith, compassion, and service will continue to inspire generations. As the Scripture reminds us: "I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith." II Timothy 4:7 Today we rejoice, knowing that this faithful servant has exchanged the burdens of this world for the everlasting peace and joy of her heavenly home.
