Mr. Kenneth D. "Bae-Bae" Tubbs

Mr. Kenneth Dwayne Tubbs, 59, of Marion, Arkansas affectionately known as “Bae-Bae”, transitioned from this earthly life on Sunday, May 17, 2026, in Memphis, Tennessee. “Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.” Galatians 6:2 Kenneth was born on September 1, 1966, in Forrest City, Arkansas, to the late Anzie Tubbs and Barbara Gray Tubbs. He was a man known for his warm spirit, creative mind, outgoing personality, and willingness to help others. At an early age, Kenneth accepted Christ and was baptized at New Light under the leadership of Reverend Sherman Jones and Pastor Larry Ware. He continued worshiping there until he moved to Marion, Arkansas and later worshipped at Temple of Deliverance Church of God in Christ. It was there where he continued his spiritual walk and fellowship. Kenneth attended Forrest City High School and graduated with the Class of 1984. Following high school, he furthered his education at the University of Central Arkansas studying interior design. After leaving the university, Kenneth became an entrepreneur and was widely known for his many talents and skills. He had a passion for interior decorating, being creative with his hands. Kenneth enjoyed sharing his knowledge and talents with others and was always willing to lend a helping hand whenever needed. One of Kenneth’s greatest qualities was his ability to build self-esteem and encourage others. He had a gift for uplifting those around him, speaking life into them, and making them feel valued and appreciated. His wisdom, humor, and positive energy left a lasting impression on everyone he encountered. Kenneth was also known as an outgoing, fun-loving person who enjoyed bringing people together. He loved hosting gatherings and events at his home, creating memories filled with laughter, fellowship, and love. Those who knew him best describe him as one of the coolest people to be around, someone whose presence could light up any room. Kenneth also had a deep love for music and singing. He sang at many church services, funeral services and special events throughout the years. He loved the traditional sound of the church and especially cherished singing the old gospel hymns that uplifted the spirit and encouraged the hearts of others. Whether at church, community gatherings, or homegoing celebrations, Kenneth’s voice and love for gospel music brought comfort and joy to many. Above all, Kenneth had a compassionate heart for caring for others, especially the sick and those in need. He faithfully and lovingly cared for his sister, Norma Jean, and his brother, Doobie, during their times of illness. His dedication to helping others led him to become a Certified Personal Caregiver, a role he embraced with pride, patience, and compassion. Caring for others was not just a profession for Kenneth. It was part of his ministry and who he was as a person. He believed in serving others with dignity, kindness, and love. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, Anzie Tubbs and Barbara Gray Tubbs; one brother, Jerry S. Gray, Sr.; one sister, Norma Jean, along with his grandparents, uncles, and aunts. He leaves to cherish his precious memories one sister, Iris G. Hamilton of Forrest City, Arkansas; five brothers, Martin (Kathryn) Gray of Forrest City, Arkansas, Evangelist Michael (Sheila) Gray of Elk Grove, California, J. Christopher Gray of Forrest City, Arkansas, Bennett (Gloria) Tubbs of Mesquite, Texas and Roy Tubbs of Detroit, Michigan; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends. Kenneth will forever be remembered for his creativity, generosity, wisdom, encouragement, compassion, love for music, and the genuine love he showed to family and friends. His legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
