Joyce had a grandmother, Emma Willis, whom she loved dearly. On June 13, 1970, Joyce married her sweetheart, Johnny Lee Vincent and to this union five children were born. Joyce accepted Christ as her personal Saviour at an early age. She was a God-fearing woman who loved the Lord and loved spending time in church, fellowshipping with the Saints and serving God. Joyce received her Evangelist license and served as a Missionary in the church. One of Joyce's favorite sayings was, "the safest place in the world is in the Will of God." Joyce was a faithful member at Watson Temple Church of God in Christ for many years under the leadership of Pastor James Watson and First Lady Catherine Watson. Joyce later joined Victory Temple Church of God in Christ in Forest City AR under the leadership of Superintendent Oliver Smith and First Lady Zenna Smith. She served as Bible Band Teacher, Young Women Christian Council (YWCC) Teacher, Service Conductor, Prayer Warrior, etc. Joyce served faithfully until she slipped into Eternity. Joyce attended Phillips County Community College in Helena AR, where she studied Nursing, receiving her LPN license. Joyce decided to further her education and attended UAPB in Pine Bluff, AR where she traveled back and forth with her beloved sister/friend, Lois Whitlock, to receive her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). Joyce practiced her nursing profession for many years at Helena Regional Medical Center, East Arkansas Regional Unit | Arkansas Department of Correction, Behavioral Health Services, and Home Health. After many years of service in the health professional, she finally decided to retire. Joyce never met a stranger. She would find herself always helping others as much as she could. She loved spending time with her husband, children, and grandchildren. Joyce also had a great interest in gardening, canning, cooking, playing the piano/organ, singing and listening to gospel music. Joyce departed this life to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 9, 2023, at Stuttgart Medical Center. She leaves to cherish her loving memories to her devoted husband of 53 years, Johnny Lee Vincent; five children: Kerry (Retina) Vincent of Grand Prairie, TX; Stacy (Kimberly) Vincent of Grand Prairie, TX; Steven Vincent of Jonesboro, AR; Sandra (James) Sheared of West Helena, AR; Ronnie (Lakecia) Vincent of Arlington, TX. Siblings: Earletha Jiles, John Collins Sr, Terry Harris Sr, Willie James Harris, Jeanette Jackson, Emma Collins, Patricia Collins, Lucille Collins, Terry Collins, Jerry Collins, and William Earl Collins. 12 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, a loving devoted sister/friend, Lois Whitlock and a host of brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, neighbors, and friends whom she loved dearly.
