Mr. John Graham

John Graham was born on November 29, 1964, in Forrest City, Arkansas, to Rosie Graham Hamilton and Bobby “Bob” Hamilton. He was raised in Palestine, Arkansas, where he attended the Palestine School District and graduated with the Class of 1983. After graduation, John began his career in St. Francis County—most notably at Sanyo Manufacturing Corporation—where he worked faithfully for many years, remaining with the company until his health declined. At a young age, John accepted Christ and was baptized at El Cannon Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Howard. He remained a lifelong member and supporter of the church and held firmly to his faith throughout his life. John was a man who truly enjoyed living. He loved talking, laughing, singing, and dancing—bringing warmth and energy to every gathering. A devoted music lover, he delighted in sharing songs of every style. He was also an enthusiastic sports fan, cheering for the Pittsburgh Steelers, Dallas Cowboys, and Kansas City Chiefs (though he often joked about “firing” a team when they let him down). On Friday nights, he could be found supporting the Forrest City Mustangs, rarely missing a game until his health prevented him from attending. He enjoyed the thrill of motorcycles, the beauty of horses, and—above all—the simple joy of fellowship and conversation with family and friends. On July 12, 2002, John was united in holy matrimony to Lorraine Miller. Together they shared 23 years of love and devotion. John was preceded in death by his fathers, Bobby “Bob” Hamilton and John Boose; his grandparents, Elliott and Eva Graham; his brothers, Lloyd Lee Hamilton, James Holland, Dewight Hamilton, and Percy Hamilton; his sisters, Barbara Holland, Christine Hamilton, and Teresa Ann Hamilton Moore; his uncles, Spencer, Elliott Jr., Arthur, and Frank Graham; and his aunt, Ann Davis. He leaves to celebrate his life and honor his memory: his loving wife, Lorraine Graham of Forrest City, AR; his devoted mother, Rosie Graham Hamilton of Forrest City, AR; his children, Mario (Kanita) Graham of Forrest City, AR, Antwuz Graham Sr. of Temple, TX, Sherese Graham of Wynne, AR, Dustin Taylor of Palestine, AR, Ashley Graham of Forrest City, AR, Monica Graham of Forrest City, AR, and Ciera Grant of Little Rock, AR; and his stepchildren, Lashell (Clarence) Robinson of Newark, TX, Michelle Rogers of Forney, TX, Markita Ramsey of Jonesboro, AR, Jennifer (Justin) Scott of Midlothian, TX, and Akeem Bogard of Frisco, TX. He is also cherished by 29 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a loving circle of siblings and extended family, including Deborah (John) Anderson; Terry (Tasha) Hamilton; Courtney Hamilton; Chasity Hamilton; Demetiiya and Aligha Hamilton; and Nevaeh Hamilton—all of Forrest City, AR; Delend Haynes of Memphis, TN; Jackie Brooks of West Memphis, AR; Bobby (Anita) Hamilton of Widener, AR; Dinah Hamilton of Little Rock, AR; and Renee (DeWayne) Lockhart of Jacksonville, AR. He is further remembered by his aunts—Geneva Simmons and Bernice Stewart of Forrest City, AR; Vickie Hughlett of Clayton, NC; and Mary Graham of Milwaukee, WI—along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Lifelong friends include Johnny Rolfe, Kevin Daniels, Allen McKinney Sr., Jessie Harris, and Corey Taylor. John’s legacy is one of faith, family, laughter, and loyalty. His bright spirit, quick wit, and steadfast love will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know him.
