Mr. James E. Hubbard

James Edward Hubbard, Jr., was born on June 17, 1975, to the late James Edward Hubbard, Sr. (d. 1997) of Wynne, Arkansas, and Patricia Ann Shaw-Woods of Forrest City, Arkansas. He departed this life on November 13, 2025. At the age of fifty, he leaves behind a legacy of kindness, strength, and unmistakable swagger that touched everyone who knew him. Born with a natural coolness and vibrant energy, he carried a spirit that could light up any room. Whether he was cracking a joke, lending a helping hand, or simply being present, he had a way of making people feel seen, valued, and cared for. He was loved by many not only for who he was, but for how he made others feel. Always willing to help day or night, he never hesitated to show up for anyone in need. His generosity was not loud. It was constant, genuine, and deeply felt. He leaves behind countless memories of laughter, love, and moments that will forever be cherished. Though our hearts are heavy, we find comfort in knowing that his spirit lives on in the many lives he touched. James’ charisma, energy, and compassion will continue to echo through his family, friends, and community. James leaves to cherish his memory his loving mother, Patricia Ann Shaw-Woods of Forrest City, Arkansas. He also leaves behind four siblings: Freddie Lee Brown, Jr., of Forrest City; Ashley (John) Brown-Jackson of San Francisco, California; Donna (Wesley) Gatlin of Wynne, Arkansas; and Patreece (Darren) Barton of Palestine, Arkansas. Eight nieces and nephews: Kimberly Michelle (Melvin) Brown-Shaw of Forrest City, Arkansas; Kenneth Ray Griffin II of Memphis, Tennessee; Donesha Simone Barton of Little Rock, Arkansas; Treona Yake (Marcus) Hubbard-Landfair of Madison, Mississippi; Emiria Gatlin-Brown of Wynne, Arkansas; Jakyia Gatlin-Willis of Wynne, Arkansas; Bryan Barton (Kolbi) of Little Rock, Arkansas; and Justin Barton of Little Rock, Arkansas. Thirteen great nieces and nephews: Kenney III, Josiah, Melvin, Jr., Alayiah, Kemarion, Kingstin, Kyi, Ace, Bryson, Korbin, Tai Len, Marr, and Emir. Three uncles: Albert Shaw of Forrest City; Lee Artis Sublett of Wynne, Arkansas; and Robert Sublett of Clarksville, Tennessee. Two additional uncles: Raymond Hubbard of Wynne, Arkansas, and Ronald Hutchinson of Forrest City, Arkansas. One aunt: Victoria McCoy of Kansas. James, you will be forever missed and forever remembered.
