Mr. James Edward "JD" Davis

James Edward Davis, affectionately known as “JD,” was born on December 19, 1975, in Helena, Arkansas. He was the youngest child born to the late Sylvester and Linda Davis. JD departed this life on June 11, 2026, at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock, Arkansas, leaving behind a legacy marked by love, laughter, and cherished memories that will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. JD was a man who embraced life with an open heart. He enjoyed traveling, having fun, and spending time with his family. Known for his kind and generous spirit, JD never met a stranger and was always willing to lend a helping hand, bringing warmth and kindness to everyone he encountered. A hardworking and dedicated individual, JD took pride in everything he did. He worked for several companies throughout his life, including Virco, Kimberly-Clark, and Doughboy. He graduated from Central High School with the Class of 1995 and later gained a trade in welding. He further pursued his passion for cooking at Pulaski Technical College, where he earned an Associate of Science Degree in Culinary Arts. Cooking was one of JD’s greatest passions, and he found true joy in preparing meals and sharing them with others. JD leaves to cherish his memory his loving partner of twenty-four years, Felicia Franklin; his son, James Davis, Jr. of West Helena, Arkansas; his daughter, Kashundra Davis of Memphis, Tennessee; and his bonus children, Ashley Anderson, Alexis Anderson, and Ashantee Johnson, all of West Helena, Arkansas. He also leaves his brother, Alfred Davis of Little Rock, Arkansas; his aunt, June Newsome of Memphis, Tennessee; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. He shared a special bond with his childhood friend, Ronald Mitchell of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, as well as Larcella Robinson of North Little Rock, Arkansas, Michael Hogan of Helena, Arkansas, and Anthony Borum of Wisconsin, whom he met throughout life’s journey. JD was preceded in death by his father, Sylvester Davis; his mother, Linda Davis; his brothers, Don Mabry and Dennis Mabry; his sister, Edith Mabry; and his bonus son, Raymond Anderson, Jr. Though he has departed this earthly life, the memories he created and the love he shared will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
