Mr. David Timothy "Dad Dave" Milligan

David Timothy Milligan, affectionately known as Dave, Dad, Dad Dave, Papa Dave, and Pop Mill, took his final breath on June 29, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love, hard work, and devotion. Born on February 7, 1933, to the late Timothy David Milligan and Essie Mae Pinder Milligan in Hurlock, Maryland. David was the second eldest of eleven children. His journey began early in life, cultivating a strong work ethic from the tender age of five, contributing to the household chores and working in the fields. At the age of eighteen, David embarked on a long and fulfilling career driving trucks and later ventured to becoming the owner of David Milligan Trucking, LLC., a profession he cherished and excelled in until his retirement at the remarkable age of eighty-four (84). His entrepreneurial spirit continued to shine brightly as he became the top-selling distributor of Shaklee products for many years. David also served his country with honor during a brief stint in the Army, exemplifying his commitment to service in all areas of his life. David's faith was the cornerstone of his existence. He was a dedicated member of Fresh Anointing Ministries, where he served faithfully as the Men's Sunday School Teacher for many years. His kind and loving spirit, coupled with his unwavering faith in God, endeared him to all who knew him. David's giving heart and selfless love for his family and friends were evident in every aspect of his life. Dave leaves behind his beloved wife, Dr. Florine T. Milligan, and a loving family: two sons, Wayne Milligan and Kevin Bingham (Paula); and four daughters, Wendy Lee (Reginald), Linda Ferguson, Veronica Freeman (Brandon Sr.), and Vallary Bingham Sims (Shonnon); twelve grandchildren: Durell Comedy (Hannah), Jasmine Coleman (Christopher), Joelle Comedy, Janetta Milligan, Benjamin Ferguson, Joseph Ferguson, Brandon Freeman Jr., Bryson Freeman, Brayden Freeman, Lailah Freeman, Kevin Bingham Jr., Paul Bingham; three great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins who holds his memory dear. He is also survived by his siblings: sisters, Rubie Stanley, Sylvia Wright, Deloise Johnson, Gladys Milligan, Norma Lee Howell, and Elsie Milligan; and one brother, Rudolph Milligan who will love and cherish him. He joins in eternal rest his parents, Timothy and Essie Mae Milligan, one sister, Virginia Milligan, and two brothers, Lewis and Frank Milligan. David Timothy Milligan's presence will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy of hard work, love, and faith will continue to inspire those who were touched by his life. As we celebrate his memory, we hold onto the belief that he is now at peace, embraced by the love of God, and reunited with those who have gone before him. Rest in peace, dear David; your life was a blessing, and your memory a treasure.
