Miss Camona M. Richardson

On Thursday, July 2, 2026, Ms. Camona Maria Richardson departed this earthly life at the age of 51, leaving behind a legacy of faith, family, determination, and love. Camona was born on August 16, 1974, in Memphis, Tennessee, to Veonia Jackson and Rodney Franklin, Sr. She accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and was baptized at Outreach Christian Church under the leadership of Pastor David Foreman. Her faith remained an important part of her life, and she found strength, comfort, and encouragement in reading and studying her Bible. Camona received her education at Sexton High School, where she graduated and began preparing for the future ahead of her. With a desire to further her education and expand her professional opportunities, she attended Ross Medical School, where she pursued studies with an emphasis in administration. Throughout her professional career, Camona worked in management, administration, business, and the hospitality industry. She was a hardworking and determined woman who used her skills and experience in various professional capacities. In 2005, Camona relocated to Forrest City, Arkansas, where she continued her career in the hospitality industry, working in hotel management and administration. In 2016, she moved to Jonesboro, Arkansas, where she made her home and continued her professional career working in Talent Acquisition. Above all else, Camona was a woman who loved her family. She was family-oriented and treasured the time she spent with those closest to her. Her family was an important part of her life, and the relationships she shared with them brought her tremendous joy. In her quiet moments, Camona enjoyed working puzzles, reading, cooking, and spending time reading her Bible. These simple pleasures reflected the woman she was: thoughtful, intelligent, nurturing, and grounded in her faith. Camona possessed a loving spirit and created memories that will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Her journey through life was marked by faith, perseverance, hard work, and devotion to her family. Though her earthly presence will be deeply missed, the lessons she taught, the love she shared, and the memories she created will continue to live on. On Thursday, July 2, 2026, Camona completed her earthly journey and transitioned from labor to reward. Her family finds comfort in knowing that the life she lived, the faith she embraced, and the love she gave will forever be a part of her lasting legacy. She leaves to cherish her precious memories her loving mother, Veonia Jackson; her father, Rodney (JoAnne) Franklin, Sr.; her children, Lakeyda Roper and Alexandria (Alexander, Sr.) Green; three grandchildren, Brooklynn Harris, A’mariah Green, and Alexander Green, Jr., siblings, Shadaryl Renee Patterson, Eddrick Richardson, Devonya Brown, Leslie Brown, Amber Pridgeon, and Rodney Franklin, Jr.; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends who will forever cherish her memory.
