Ms. Benita Faye Johnson

With profound sadness, we announce the heavenly transition of Benita Faye Johnson, who peacefully passed into the arms of Jesus on July 9, 2024, in Parkland, Florida, at the age of 53. Born in Forrest City, Arkansas, on November 10, 1970. Dedicated to the Lord Jesus Christ at infancy Benita personally acclaimed Jesus as her Savior at a young age. Her spiritual journey began at St. Luke AME Church in Forrest City and continued at Faith Center Ministries in Sunrise, Florida. Benita graduated from Forest City High School in 1988, where she played the saxophone in the Marching Band and earned numerous medals in Solo and Ensemble contests. She furthered her education at Tennessee State University in Nashville, TN, earning a Bachelor's degree in Psychology. She continued her studies at the Parker School of Chiropractic Medicine and was later accepted to St. James Medical School in the Caribbean. A true visionary, Benita co-founded EAGLES View, Inc., and played a pivotal role in securing its 501(c)(3) status in 2011. Her dedication and leadership within the organization were instrumental in its operation. Benita's career was primarily dedicated to the life insurance and annuities industry, Dulaney- Johnson Insurance. As a licensed professional in 14 states, she provided countless families with financial security and peace of mind. She also shared her knowledge and passion by teaching in Dallas Public Schools, impacting the lives of many young students. Benita was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel E. Johnson and Bessie Dulaney Johnson; her son, Samuel Jeremiah Johnson; her sister, Cynthia Ann Johnson; and her niece, Elizabeth Cynita Thomas. She leaves behind her beloved sister, Vanessa Johnson; her cherished nephew, John (J.L.) Thomas III; her dear Aunt Claudine Dulaney; and numerous cousins who will forever hold her memory in their hearts. Benita's earthly journey has concluded, but her eternal life with Christ has just begun. As the Bible promises in John 14:2-3, "In My Father's house are many mansions... I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you unto Myself." We find comfort in knowing that Benita is now in her heavenly mansion, rejoicing with her Savior and reuniting with loved ones who have gone before. We celebrate Benita and find solace in the assurance that we will one day meet again in God's glorious presence. Rest in the eternal peace and joy of Christ, dear Benita. You are forever loved and cherished.
