Mr. Moses "MoMo" Hollis Johnson, Jr.

Moses will be deeply missed by his family and friends. He was known for his tireless work ethic, philanthropic efforts in his community, and for his faith in God’s ability and will. “To God Be The Glory, Great Things He Has Done!” Moses Hollis Johnson Jr., affectionately known as MoMo, was born in Forrest City, Arkansas on December 21st, 1976 in Forrest City, Arkansas the son of Moses Johnson Sr. and late Marilyn Johnson, passed away at the age of 44. He was nurtured in a Christian home and accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age. Moses attended Forrest City High School and Crowley’s Ridge Votech where he received a carpenter’s certification. Shortly after graduating he joined the family business of more than 45 years Johnson & Son General Contractors to assist his father in running the company. Serving in this position Moses helped the company gain a reputation for home remodeling and new home constructions. Moses’ incredible work ethic and talents in carpentry was a huge benefit to the company. He was a pious man who would try to spread the light of God to all he came in contact with, always referencing his favorite line “All Praise to God”. Moses knew how blessed his life was and this drove his spirit of charity and compassionate disposition to other people. There are countless stories of friends and families who’ve been helped or guided through difficult times by Moses. He loved getting up in the morning and starting up the Johnson and Son work truck to get to the job site. He was devoted to his business and a very hard-working man. He loved his family dearly. He also loved helping his community which was a reflection of his love of Christ. On September 16, 2021, Moses Hollis Johnson, Jr., departed this life to live eternally with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Though preceded in death by his mother, Marilyn Johnson, he is survived and will be remembered by his father, Moses Johnson, Sr.; sisters, DeShay Hollis (Chris), Veronica Johnson (Danya), Monica Fairley (Leroy), and Alicia Johnson; son, Ladarius Hollis; wife, Belinda Braddock; granddaughter, Londyn Hollis; nephews, Denishio Murray, Dantarius Lockett, Danya Lockett Jr., Justin Huddleston, and Donnterias Huddleston; nieces, Gabrielle Murray and Kylar Huddleston; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
