Simpson, Sr. and Mary M. Simpson in Heth, Arkansas. She was joined in holy matrimony to the late Mr. Othell Bowman, Sr. in Hughes, Arkansas. She departed this life on March 24, 2022, at Arkansas Continued Care Center in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Affectionately known as BabyDoll, she worked many jobs throughout her life that included being a waitress, Head Dietician and Motor Inspector at General Industries. She confessed and accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She was a long-time member of Summerfield Missionary Baptist Church in Forrest City, Arkansas. She loved God, her family, and friends. She loved to fellowship with others and never met a stranger. Her hobbies included gardening, cooking, sewing, fishing and tinkering with electronics as well as enjoying her grandkids. She loved life and the time spent with her loved ones. She had a special love for animals, especially her dog Chloe. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband- Mr. Othell Bowman Sr., a son – Gregory Bowman, Sr; two daughters – Debra A. White and Joyce A. Cunningham; a grandson- Tarrance L. Bowman; and one granddaughter-Kalani T. Patterson; one daughter-in-law – Mamie Bowman; four sisters-Barbara Jean Jones, Gearlean Simpson, Shirley Wright and Patricia Patterson; two brothers – Johnnie B. Simpson, Jr. and James Simpson. Mrs. Bowman leaves to cherish her memories her children: Marie (Larry) Frank of Benton Harbor, Michigan; Barbara Paulette of Forrest City, Arkansas; Othello “Rock” (Lois) Bowman, Sr of Lewisville, Texas; Rosalyn (Johnny) Patterson of St. Louis, Missouri ; Dennis (DeShay) Bowman of Memphis, Tennessee; Sharon (Michael, Sr.) Buchanan of Forrest City, Arkansas; Richard (Catina) Bailey of Forrest City, Arkansas; Ann Bowman of Forrest City, Arkansas; and Kellon (Julia) Bowman of Fayetteville, Arkansas; two sisters Kathy (Arthur) Gregory of West Memphis, Arkansas and Eleanor Ruth Simpson of Hughes, Arkansas. She also leaves to cherish her memories- 41 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren, 14 great-great grandchildren and a multitude of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and friends.
