Mr. Jordan Harold Breathett, Jr.

Jordan Harold Breathett, Jr, affectionately known as "JR", was born July 29, 1945, to Jordan Breathett and Bettie Lou Breathett in Chicago, IL who preceded him in death. He was married to Lydia Byndom who preceded him in death, to this union one daughter was born, Chasity Breathett. Jordan later married Bertha Rice. Jordan attended Palestine Public School in Palestine, AR. He attended the Job Corps for three years. He was employed at Warwick (now Sanyo) in Forrest City, AR. He moved to Chicago and was employed at Marshall Fields and the Hyatt Regency in Downtown Chicago where he was awarded several certificates of excellent service until he retired in 2010. Jordan was a diligent worker at times working two jobs providing for his family. Jordan was a devoted father and stepfather and treated everyone like family. He loved traveling down south and visiting family and friends. He absolutely loved people. Jr was an avid lottery player and enjoyed playing the horses, on the weekends you could find him at the racetrack with his buddies. He loved attending the Blues Festival in Grant Park, enjoyed watching his Westerns, boxing, and listening to his Blues Music. The day before he made his transition, he enjoyed quality time with his family watching the Kentucky Derby. Jordan Breathett, Jr. departed from this life peacefully at McNeal Hospital on May 5, 2024, at 8:53 PM surrounded by loved ones. His hazel eyes and radiant smile that brightened up a room will truly be missed. Jordan had one granddaughter that preceded him in death, Amari Malasia Spencer, two sisters, Antionette Whitley and Ethel (Dimple) Breathett, and two brothers, Thomas (Mickey) Breathett, and Joe Willie Breathett. He leaves to cherish his memories, his one and only daughter, Chasity Breathett of Chicago, IL, Stepson Demetrius Hymon of Chicago, IL, His Special life partner Beatrice Cooley of Chicago, IL., three sisters, Mary Ann Tuberville and Betty Jones of Forrest City, AR, Deborah Breathett of Los Angeles, CA., two brothers Will Arthur Breathett (Georgia) of Maumelle, AR, Benny J Breathett of Huntsville, TX. Very special aunt Jessie Mae McGhee of Stone Mountain, GA. Two Goddaughters Sonja Smith and Reba James of Chicago, IL, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and his beloved Cicero Senior Lofts Family.
