Mr. B.M. Watson, Jr.

B.M. Watson Jr. was born on June 19, 1955, to the late B.M. Watson Sr. and Elamie Mooney. He departed this life on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, in Little Rock, Arkansas. At an early age, B.M. confessed his hope in Christ at Salem Missionary Baptist Church. He later united with Rising Sun Missionary Baptist Church alongside his beloved wife, the late Lillie Watson, under the leadership of Reverend James Brooks. B.M. possessed a willing spirit and was always ready to serve wherever needed with kindness, dedication, and a genuine love for others. B.M. was a proud graduate of the Forrest City High School Class of 1976. This year, his classmates are celebrating their 50th Class Reunion, making his passing especially meaningful to those who shared those memorable school years with him. During his younger years, B.M. enjoyed playing football and had a fascination with learning foreign languages. You should have heard him trying to deliver a message in French! His classmates affectionately remember him as a “gentle giant.” B.M. loved cooking, playing cards, hosting block parties, and entertaining his friends and the entire neighborhood. Most of all, he loved to talk. He was truly one of a kind and never met a stranger. Family meant everything to B.M., and he shared a special bond with his sisters. He often joked that his sister Linda was the “bossy” one, but, boy, was he wrong! Sister Ann was the real boss of them all! And then there was Mae, the peacemaker who always helped keep everyone together. Through every laugh, joke, and family moment, one thing remained certain: B.M. loved his family dearly. B.M. was a longtime employee and supervisor with Arkansas Electric Cooperatives and Woodruff Electric Corporation, faithfully dedicating more than 30 years of service throughout his career. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Lillie Watson; his parents, Elamie Mooney and B.M. Watson Sr.; one brother, Stanley Watson; and one nephew, Marquis George. He leaves to cherish his loving memory three stepsons: Bradford (Valerie) House of Pine Bluff, Arkansas; Edward (Denisha) House of Little Rock, Arkansas; and Earnest (Candace) House of Little Rock, Arkansas. He also leaves five sisters: Vester Ann (Melvin) George of Forrest City, Arkansas; Linda Allen of Little Rock, Arkansas; Mae Watson of Forrest City, Arkansas; and Vickie Watson and Denisha Watson, both of Houston, Texas; one brother, Ernest Watson; one uncle, Charles Watson; two aunts, Birdie Watson and Almeda Watson of East Chicago, Indiana; and a special sister in love and friendship, Delores Mills of Forrest City, Arkansas. B.M. shared an especially close bond with his special niece, Shanika Nickelberry of Little Rock, Arkansas, and his nephew, Melvin George of Surprise, Arizona. Among his grandchildren through his stepsons, Morgan House and Earnest House, both of Forrest City, Arkansas, held an especially special place in his heart. They spent countless hours with B.M., creating memories that only time together can build. He also leaves to cherish his memory his other beloved grandchildren through his stepsons: Bradford House III, Edward House Jr., and Deja House, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many dear friends who will forever cherish his memory. Although B.M. has completed his earthly journey, his laughter, stories, personality, and unforgettable memories will forever live in the hearts of those who loved and knew him. B.M. lived by a simple motto that perfectly reflected the man he was: “I Gotta Be Myself, I Can’t Be Nobody Else.” May these words forever serve as a reflection of a life uniquely lived, deeply loved, and never to be forgotten.
